Find the Font: Brick Lane
Find the font is a book of different typefaces found around Brick Lane. During this project I visited Brick Lane to capture as many interesting typefaces and letters I as I could, finding many of them on shop fronts signs, stickers and grafitti. I then started by drawing them all out to understand their shapes and to find any themes within the fonts found in Brick Lane. I digitalised the letters by picked one fonts per letter and combining this range of letters to create a new typeface.
I then created a book for readers to take to Brick Lane and find the fonts included in the book. I included a vague location of where it is found and information about what material is is made from to help give the reader some clues.
